Buducnost VOLI Podgorica added depth to its frontcourt by inking forward Aleksandar Lazic, the club announced Thursday. Lazic (2.03 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Mornar Bar, where he averaged 8.0 points and 5.3 rebounds in 26 Adriatic League games last season. In his two seasons with Mornar Bar, he helped his team reach both the Montenegrin League and Montenegrin Cup finals in back-to-back campaigns.

Lazic started his career in Slovenia, playing for Union Olimpija Ljubljana, Geoplin Slovan Ljubljana and LTH Castings Skofja Loka. He has also played for Dynamic BG Belgrade and Mega Bemax of Serbia, as well as for Primorska Koper of Slovenia. Lazic helped Primorska win the Slovenian Cup title in 2020. He has also been a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team. Lazic played the 2020-21 7DAYS EuroCup with Mornar Bar, averaging 2.3 points and 1.8 rebounds in 12 games.
