Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana has added size and experience to its roster by inking versatile power forward Shawn Jones, who penned a one-year deal with his new team on Wednesday. Jones (2.03 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Hapoel B Cure Lazxr Haifa, where he averaged 11.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 14 Israeli League games last season. He started the 2022-23 campaign with Polish side PGE Sponja Stargard, averaging 14.3 points and 8.6 rebounds before joining Haifa.

Jones started his career with Sioux Falls in the G League, and he also played for MoraBanc Andorra of Spain, Hapoel Jerusalem and Hapoel Unet Holon of Israel, Banco di Sardegna Sassari of Italy, Boulazac Basket Dordogne of France, Anwil Wloclawek of Poland and Split of Croatia before joining Sponja. Jones played the 2016-17 BKT EuroCup with Jerusalem, helping his team reach the semifinals while averaging 5.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in 18 games. He lifted the 2020 Polish Cup trophy with Anwil and claimed the 2017 Israel crown with Jerusalem. Jones has also been a member of the Kosovan national team.
