Romanian champs U-BT Cluj-Napoca extended guard and team captain Patrick Richard for three more years, the club announced on Wednesday. Richard (1.96 meters, 32 years old) posted 11.0 points, team-best 4.2 assists and 4.2 rebounds on the way to the second straight Romanian League title last season, while posting a team-high 15.6 points along with 5.2 assists and 4.9 rebounds in the Basketball Champions League. Richard has been with the team for the past three seasons. Prior to that, he played Iowa in the D-League, Sanddringham and New Zealand Breakers in Australia, Wihchen in the Netherlands, Mitteldeutscher in Germany, Chalons-Reims in France, Maccabi Rishon Le-Zion in Israel and Joventut Badalona in Spain.
