"First of all, I would like to congratulate my players for a deserved win, I think the game was attractive for the fans and Slask did a good job as they played well, but in the end, we found better and better options on offense. Defensively, we got the stops we wanted to win the game. We were missing some important players but everybody who was in stepped up and executed well.
“Our three-point shots were part of the key to winning the game, especially in the fourth quarter. Defensively, we were very aggressive with the rebounds and 25 assists mean the team played together and shared the ball. A,J. [Slaughter] was not really injured, he had some physical problems and we decided to let him stay at home for this trip and hopefully, he will be better very soon.
"Olek [Balcerowski] has been playing very solid all season, he continued with very good performances, he brought his confidence from the European Championships and he has played very well for us. We are playing with two big guys who are 20 and 22 years old in the EuroCup and the ACB, it’s not easy for them but they are doing a great job. They still have ups and downs, which is normal for young players, but in general, Olek is doing a very good job and if he works hard, he has a great future in front of him."
“Congratulations to Gran Canaria. They were without some key players but they showed us how good a team they are and how much diversity they have. I can say congratulations to my players too, they left their hearts and all their energy on the court. Unfortunately, we had a lot of defensive problems. We didn’t commit a lot of turnovers but we committed some bad ones and that turned out to be decisive."
"We have an experienced team and we came here to do our best. It was an important game for us and we are happy that we could come away with a win. We have a tough schedule and we are missing some players but we always try to do our best and our young guys bring the energy."
