DKV Joventut tied its Spanish League semifinals playoff series by downing host FC Barcelona 81-87 on Sunday in what was the visitors' first victory on the court of their cross-town rivals in more than seven years.

A back-and-forth first quarter saw Barca ahead by 25-17 before Pau Ribas scored 6 points in a row to leave Joventut leading 26-27 after 10 minutes. Again Barca surged in front, 35-28, only to see Ferran Bassas and Ante Tomic give the visitors a 40-42 halftime advantage. Joel Parra and Andres Feliz sparked Jovenut's escape after the break to lead 46-59 midway through the third quarter and hold a 53-65 advantage when it ended. Barca got closer after that but never enough to challenge as Joventut evened the best-of-five series 1-1.
Tomic paced the winners with 24 points while Bassas added 13, Feliz 12 and Parra 10. Barca got 15 points from Nick Calathes, 12 from Dante Exum and 11 each from Nikola Mirotic and Alex Abrines.
