Gran Canaria bounced back from its first loss in the 2022-23 7DAYS EuroCup by trashing London Lions 87-69 at home on Wednesday. Olek Balcerowski scored 16 points to lead the winners, who also welcomed point guard Andrew Albicy back from injury. Gran Canaria remained undefeated at home and improved to 2-1 in Group B.

David Mutaf added 13 points for the winners, AJ Slaughter had 11 and Vitor Benite 10 for Gran Canaria. Vojtech Hruban scored 18 points for London, which dropped to 1-2 in Group B. Tomislav Zubcic added 16 and Kosta Koufos 11 for the guests. Gran Canaria led 42-32 at halftime, improved its margin to 62-42 at the end of the third quarter and never looked back.

Balcerowski and Vitor Benite fueled an opening 5-0 run. Tomislav Zubcic and Ovie Soko stepped up for London and then Kosta Koufos put the visitors ahead 12-13. Andrew Albicy and Miquel Salvo allowed Gran Canaria to regain a 21-15 edge after 10 minutes. Luke Nelson rescued London and Soko's layup got his team within 28-27. Benite and a red-hot Balcerowski fueled a 12-2 run that gave Gran Canaria its first double-digit lead, 40-29, near halftime. Nico Brussino, Ferran Bassas and Slaughter each hit a triple to break the game open, 53-35, right after the break. The hosts boosted their margin to 62-42 after 30 minutes and then again to 81-57 to seal the outcome long before the final buzzer.
