Coach Magro, Brescia: 'This win gives us confidence'

Germani Brescia head coach Alessandro Magro:
"For sure it’s a win to give us confidence. We lost the last four games and it was important to show we are able to compete on the road. It’s a good boost in confidence for us.
“It was an important game for both teams because we are at the bottom of the standings. We came here in a period when Cedevita was playing pretty good. Now they have a complete roster it’s a totally different team, very offensive-oriented. We were able to take away some three-point shots. They usually shoot the ball 30 times, today it was just 22. Edo Muric was killing us, an incredible performance, and like every game we have played until now, we decided the game in one possession.
"It was a very tough game and I’m very proud of my players. Everyone who stepped on the court gave his all, it doesn’t matter if it was for 3 minutes or 25. Everybody fought really hard to get the win. We had the will and desire to get the win. We came by bus and it’s a long trip so I would like to thank the club who allowed us to come two days ago to prepare for the game.”
Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana head coach Jurica Golemac:
“We didn’t have focus for 40 minutes. We had a 7-point lead in the last 2 and a half minutes but we didn’t manage to keep it with some very not smart mistakes in defense to give them a couple of easy free throw shots to get back in the game. In the end, we missed an open shot, congratulations to Brescia."
Germani Brescia guard CJ Massinburg:
“It was really important. We were struggling in EuroCup. This was a good win on the road against a good team. We stayed and fought together and we’re going to keep building on this. I stepped up when my team needed me. In the last domestic game, we went on a cold stretch with 4 minutes left in the game when we needed somebody to step up. I said, man, I don’t want that to ever happen again, and tonight we were able to get it done."
