Henry Ellenson made a buzzer-beating three-pointer to lift Joventut Badalona to a thrilling 90-87 win over visiting Umana Reyer Venice on Wednesday night. Joventut had an 8-point lead with 1:45 to go, but it seemed as though the hosts squandered it when Andrea De Nicolao tied the game at 87-87 with 6.2 seconds to go. However, Pep Busquets took the ball the other way, and found Henry Ellenson who hit a three at the buzzer to win it for Joventut.
Joventut's Ellenson wins it at the buzzer against Reyer

This win ended Joventut's two-game losing streak, improving it to 5-3 while Reyer had its five-game winning streak snapped, as it dropped to 5-3 and a four-team tie for the best record in Group A. Joel Parra paced the hosts with 23 points, having made all of his 5 triples in the first half. Kyle Guy and Andres Feliz scored 15 apiece, with Felize also adding 6 assists and 5 steals, while Ante Tomic had 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Ellenson finished with 6 points. Marco Spissu shined for Reyer with 27 points, shooting 4-for-5 on both two-pointers and three-pointers. Jayson Granger scored 16 and Derek Willis had 13 points in defeat.
The visitors opened the game with a 7-16 lead behind 3 triples, 1 each from Willis, Spissu and Allerik Freeman, but Joventut answered with a 9-0 run sparked by Tomic. Spissu and Willis hit more three-pointers for Reyer, but so did Parra and Guy for the hosts to tie a fast-paced affair at 24-24 after 10 minutes. Things slowed down in the second quarter, as teams traded blows. Parra had back-to-back threes to give Joventut a slight cushion, and his four-point play in the last second of the first half made it 49-44 at halftime.

The teams kept trading blows after the break. A triple from Pau Ribas made it 59-54, and after Mitchell Watt and Granger replied with a 2-8 run, a triple from Ellenson and a three-point play from Ribas made it 67-64 going into the fourth. That's when Granger scored all the points in a 0-8 run, including back-to-back triples, followed by a jumper to give Reyer 69-74. But Tomic sparked and Parra finished a 10-0 run that turned things around and put Joventut in front. Parra extended it to 84-76, but Spissu had a triple, a runner, then made 3 free throws to cut it to 85-84 in the final minute. Guy's free throws made it a 3-point game with 13 seconds to go. Reyer went the other way where De Nicolao nailed a three to tie the game, but Ellenson's triple at the buzzer gave Joventut a dramatic win.
