Coach Magro, Brescia: 'It was a great effort in defense'

Germani Brescia head coach Alessandro Magro:
"It was a great effort in defense. I am really happy, now we have a day off and we’ll need it to bounce back even in the domestic league. After the win in Ljubljana, we’ve now won at home and we have many games at home coming up. We have to show we are able to compete against anybody so it was important to get this win.
"It was an important game for us for the standings in the EuroCup and I think we prepared the game very well even if we didn’t practice after playing in the domestic league on Sunday. This game was prepared completely by my assistant coaches so I would like to thank them for the amazing job they did.
“Like I said so many times, basketball is sharing. We shared the ball very well in offense. Everybody was able to score, assist and play the right way. We played tough defense against a very good team, so possession by possession we were able to win by this gap. Four sure it’s not the real gap between the two teams but I am happy the team has done a very serious job. It will give us the confidence to stay focused on our league, where we need solid games like this in order to get a chance to reach the Italian Final Eight.”
Frutti Extra Bursaspor head coach Dusan Alimpijevic:
"First of all, big congratulations to the Brescia team, their coach, their coaching staff and players. They played with great energy and deserved the win 100%. We didn’t exist on the court, we didn’t come to the game and simply as I said, they killed us. We had a great preparation and even a day off after the domestic league."
