Prometey Slobozhanske head coach Ronen Ginzburg:
"I have a lot of emotions after this game. First of all, to see the fans from Ukraine coming all the way is amazing for the club, for the president and vice president. Now, it is a great win for us. We played against a great team with great tradition and a great coach that I respect a lot. And we showed character and fought. We started the game not good and after 10 minutes, we started playing better defense and in the second half, we played much better defense. It is an amazing win for our young club, 3-4 years, a win here in Italy: amazing!"
Umana Reyer Venice head coach Walter De Raffaele:
"In general, we missed too many shots. We let open rebounds. Rebounds and 50-50 balls made the difference. We allowed them to go on fastbreak also with easy turnovers. So it was really tough to come back. We came back, had no luck, but they deserved to win this game.
"At the end of the game, Prometey deserved to win this game. They played with more energy, more physicality. We finished the game winning three quarters out of four, but the third quarter changed all the game. We really had many turnovers, bad choices on offense and shot with bad percentages, but the difference was, on my side, about the intensity and the energy that we put on the court, not enough to compete in this game. Also, we had the chance to come back but honestly, we arrived without a lot of energy."
Prometey Slobozhanske forward D.J. Kennedy:
"This was a big win for us. We played hard. We knew this is one of the better teams on our side, and coming here and winning in an environment like this, it was a big win. It is a tight race for everyone on our side, so it is a huge win for us."
Prometey Slobozhanske center Ondrej Balvin:
"I think we did an amazing job. We followed our plan. We maybe didn't score as many points as we are used to in the last games but I think we decided our game with our defense, especially in the third quarter. The whole team tightened up and we just played together. I think we made it a little dramatic in the end, when we were missing a lot of free throws and that's the way basketball is played. Luckily, we got over the pressure and were able to close this game."
Prometey Slobozhanske forward Caleb Agada:
"It was a good win, a very, very good win. It felt good to be back after my injury and the team looked good. We have to work on our free throws but we are moving up. We are moving in the right direction, so I am very happy."
