Gran Canaria started strong and finished strong against Promitheas

In the first quarter of Gran Canaria's Round 11 game at home to Promitheas Patras, it already felt as though the Group B leaders in the 7DAYS EuroCup were going to once again end the round at the top of the tree.
After opening a 19-3 lead, having gone on a 12-0 run after Promitheas's first basket of the game, Gran Canaria looked in complete control. Later in the game, and with Promitheas having fought its best to stay alive, Gran Canaria entered the fourth quarter ahead 67-53. But, a 20-7 run in the first 7:22 of the final quarter saw Gran Canaria record its biggest lead of the game at 27 points, 87-60.
Promitheas scored some points late on as it trimmed the deficit to 19 points, 91-72, but Gran Canaria's strong start and finish to the game meant that it could once again finish the round as the leader in Group B.
