Hapoel Tel Aviv kept getting ready for its 7DAYS EuroCup debut next season by inking big man Chris Horton, the club announced Wednesday. Horton (2.03 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Nanterre 92, where he averaged 13.7 points on 62.0% two-point shooting in 28 French League games last season. He led that competition in rebounds (8.1 rpg.) and blocked shots (1.8 bpg.), ranking third in steals (1.9 spg.).
Hapoel signs defensive ace Horton
Horton started his career with Grand Rapids of the G League and also played for Alba Fehervar of Hungary, GS Kymis of Greece, as well as for Cholet Basket and BCM Gravelines Dunquerke before joining Nanterre last season. Just as his new team, Horton is set to make his EuroCup debut next season. "I'm happy to welcome Chris to our team. He is an athletic big guy with a wide set of skills on both sides of the court," Hapoel head coach Danny Franco said. "This signing has completed our squad towards the start of the pre-season."
