Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv announced that point guard and team captain Bar Timor has signed an extension that will keep them together through the 2025-26 season. Timor (1.91 meters, 32 years old) enters his fifth straight season with Hapoel and his seventh overall. He averaged 9.3 points, 5.2 assists and 1.2 steals in 19 EuroCup games last season to help Hapoel reach the quarterfinals. He was fourth in the competition in assists despite making only seven starts. In the Israeli League, Timor contributed 11.0 points, 5.9 assists and 1.1 steals to help his team reach the finals.
A product of the Hapoel Haifa youth system, Timor also played for Hapoel Kiryat Tivon before his first stint with Hapoel Tel Aviv in 2011-12. After two seasons in Tel Aviv, Timor went abroad to join ALBA Berlin, where he also made his EuroCup debut in 2013-14. He also helped ALBA win the German Cup. Timor’s next step was the Israeli capital. During six seasons with Hapoel Jerusalem, he won the Israeli championship twice in addition to a pair of Israeli Cups. Timor reached the EuroCup Semifinals with Jerusalem in 2017.
