Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv announced on Monday morning that forward Jaylen Hoard has signed a contract that will keep the sides together for two more seasons. Hoard (2.04 meters, 24 years old) comes off a strong debut season in the EuroCup during which he was twice named MVP of the round. Hoard was the MVP for Round 4 of the regular season when he posted 22 points with just 1 missed shot, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks in 21:04 minutes for a PIR of 33 against Dolomiti Energia Trento and claimed the honor for a second time after posting 33 points in 10-for-14 shooting, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 1 block for a PIR of 34 against Promitheas Patras.
Hoard averaged 9.3 points and 5.1 rebounds in 17:34 minutes in helping Hapoel reach the quarterfinals. He was second in the EuroCup in PIR on a per-minute basis with 30.1 prorated over 40 minutes. Hoard was sixth in the competition in two-point accuracy (71.7%), too.
