

Paris Basketball grabbed its 10th victory in Group B of the 7DAYS EuroCup by downing Slask Wroclaw 89-85 in the French capital on Tuesday night. Paris recorded its fourth straight home win and went up to 10-6 in the standings. Meanwhile, Slask dropped to 1-15 and is now on a 19-game road losing streak. Its last road victory came against Kalev Cramo Tallinn, 61-79, on December 4, 2007.
Jeremy Evans led the winners with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Gauthier Denis and Tyrone Wallace each added 17 points, Aamir Sims got 13, Amar Gegic had 12 and Juhann Begarin contributed 10. Vasilije Pusica and Aleksander Dziewa were Slask's highest scorers with 21 points apiece. Jeremiah Martin finished with 19, while Art Parakhouski finished with 11.
Parakhouski scored down low and Kuba Nizol added a fastbreak slam to give Slask an early 2-6 lead. Soon after, Evans struck from downtown and Wallace followed a triple with a floater to put Paris in charge, 13-10. Then, Denis hit a three-pointer and Martin's step-back jumper fixed the score at 16-12 after 10 minutes.
Denis insisted from beyond the arc, Simms added a power layup and Evans dunked three times for a 31-22 Paris lead. Slask found a go-to guy in Pusica, who scored 10 points in seven minutes. Dziewa and Lukasz Kolenda each sank a triple to give the guests a 35-37 lead at halftime.
Pusica took over with a four-point play right after the break, then Martin boosted Slask's lead to 42-46. Denis buried his third triple of the night and Gegic followed a driving layup with a bomb from downtown in an 8-1 run that put Paris in charge, 50-49. Dziewa rescued Slask with 7 quick points, but Gegic tied the game, 58-58, after 30 minutes.
Pusica and Jakub Karolak each struck from downtown and Dziewa added a baseline jumper for a 63-66 Slask lead. Wallace and Simms stepped up for Paris and Evans restored an 81-73 edge with over two minutes left. Slask did not panic, as Dziewa and Martin got the guests within 87-85 with 12.6 seconds left. But, Wallace sealed the outcome for Paris from the foul line.
