Joventut Badalona and Ante Tomic will remain linked together for another three years after the veteran center penned a new contract with the club on Friday. Tomic (2.17 meters, 35 years old) has spent the last two years with Joventut. Last season he posted 10.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists in the 7DAYS EuroCup, helping Joventut win the regular-season Group A before the team was ousted in the eighthfinals. He also averaged 14.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists in Spanish League action, helping the team reach the playoff semifinals.
Joventut extends star center Tomic

Before joining Joventut in 2020, Tomic was a three-time All-EuroLeague center during his eight seasons at FC Barcelona, with which he made 236 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague appearances. In the EuroLeague, he still ranks fourth all time in terms of two-pointers made (1,137), while he is fifth all time when it comes to rebounds (1,545).
Tomic helped Barcelona reach the Final Four in 2013 and 2014, earning All-EuroLeague First Team honors in each of those two seasons, before becoming a second-team selection in 2015. Tomic helped Barcelona win the Spanish League crown in 2013 and 2014, and Spanish Cup titles in 2013 and 2018. Before his time with Barcelona, Tomic played two and a half seasons with Real Madrid, during which he reached his first EuroLeague Final Four and won the 2012 Spanish Cup. Tomic, who hails from Dubrovnik, Croatia, began his career with KK Zagreb, where he started playing professionally at the age of 17. He spent six seasons there before joining Real.
