Joventut Badalona has bolstered its frontcourt by inking power forward Henry Ellenson to a two-year deal, the club announced on Thursday. Ellenson (2.08 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Monbus Obradoiro, where he averaged 11.0 points and 4.9 rebounds in 32 Spanish League games last season. He boosted those numbers up to 14.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in two games against Joventut, winning both of them. Ellenson is set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut in the 2022-23 season.

Ellenson started his professional basketball career with Detroit of the NBA, and also played for Grand Rapids, Long Island and Raptors 905 of the G League before joining Obradoiro in 2021. He has also been a member of the USA national team. Before that, Ellenson helped the USA win a gold medal at the 2014 U17 World Championships, averaging 8.7 points and 5.1 rebounds in seven games.
