Joventut Badalona bolstered its frontcourt by inking versatile power forward Kaiser Gates to a one-year deal, the club announced Friday.
Gates (2.02 meters, 27 years old) arrives from the Long Island Nets in the G League, where he averaged 11.3 points and 5.5 rebounds in 45 games last season. He started the 2023-24 campaign with the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA, though he only took part in one game. Gates began his professional career with the Windy City Bulls in the G-League. He also played for Maine in the G League and Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem of Israel before joining Long Island in 2022. Gates was a member of the USA national team at the 2022 FIBA AmeriCup qualifiers.
