Cedevita signs guard DJ Stewart
Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana has signed guard DJ Stewart Jr. to a one-year deal, the club announced Friday. Stewart (1.98 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Marineros de Puerto Plata of the Dominican Republic, where he averaged 9.8 points and 2.6 rebounds in 5 games last season. He also played for the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the G League in the 2022-23 campaign, averaging 20.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 42 games.
Stewart had a breakout 2020-21 season at Mississippi State University, averaging 16.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 33 games. He went on to play for Sioux Falls and the Austin Spurs of the G League. As such, Stewart is set to make his BKT EuroCup debut with Cedevita next season.

I arrived in Ljubljana with my wife and son on Wednesday and in a short time we managed to get to know the city, which, like the country, is wonderful," Stewart said signing. "I am excited, I want to win as much as possible, make it to the playoffs with the team in all competitions and contribute to success from the very beginning."
