7bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys added a scoring threat to its backcourt by signing guard Jon Davis to a one-year contract on Saturday. Davis (1.89 meters, 26 years old) finished last season with a fellow Lithuanian side Juventus Utena where he averaged 15.9 points, 3.9 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 13 Lithuanian League appearances. The first part of the season, Davis played with Mladost Zemun in Serbia, scoring 19.4 points along with 4.0 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals in the Serbian League action.
After playing NCAA basketball for four years at UNC Charlotte, Davis started his professional career in 2019 with Lakeland Magic in the G-League. He moved to Europe in 2020, first playing with Borac Banja Luka in Bosna and Herzegovina, then Euro Nickel 2005 in North Macedonia, before returning to Bosnia and playing with Bosna Sarajevo. He spent the summer of 2022 playing with Zonkeys de Tijuana in Mexico. Davis is now set to make his BKT EuroCup debut.
