Dziugas Slavinskas has returned to his native Lithuania by joining 7bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys for the new BKT EuroCup season, the club announced Friday. He arrives from Geosan Kolin of the Czech Republic where he averaged 16.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists in the Czech League action last season.
The forward, 2.02 meters and 24 years old, started his career with Nafta Uni Akvaseris Klaipeda, before heading to Spain and playing for Gran Canaria's secodn team for the first part of the 2017-18 season. But he returned home in the early part of 2018, only to join Naptunas Klaipeda before the end of that season, and stayed with the club for three years.
In 2021, Slavinskas moved to Slovakia, to spend one season with Inter Bratislava, before joining Kolin last summer. The former Lithuania youth international will be appearing in the EuroCup for the first time this season.
