London Lions has brought in Kosta Koufos for the upcoming season, the club confirmed on Friday. Koufos (2.13 meters, 33 years old) spent the 2021-22 campaign with the G League Ignite. He will make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut next season.
London brings in experienced Koufos
Koufos has played two seasons in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, suiting up for CSKA Moscow and Olympiacos Piraeus in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons, respectively. In the competition, he averaged 4.0 points and 2.6 rebounds. Koufos played college basketball at Ohio State University before embarking on an 11-year NBA career, which saw him represent Utah, Minnesota, Denver, Memphis and Sacramento. He also played in the G League for Utah's affiliate team. In 2009, Koufos was part of the Greece team that won a EuroBasket bronze medal.
