Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana veteran center Alen Omic returns to play his ninth campaign in the 7DAYS EuroCup - and his fourth with the team from the Slovenian capital. He also played a season apiece with Gran Canaria, Unicaja Malaga, Hapoel Jerusalem, Joventut Badalona and Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse.
Since the 2013-14 season, when he debuted in the competition, Omic has made 114 appearances, which is ninth most all-time and more than any active player. Now, the 30-year-old big man is on pace to take over the all-time lead in several different categories. Omic has 737 rebounds in his career, the second-most in competition history, and needs just 28 more to take over first place from Bojan Dubljevic. He also needs just 6 offensive rebounds to catch Dubljevic (267) and 23 defensive boards to get past Dubljevic (497) in those categories, too.
