Besiktas GAIN Istanbul owned the Turkish derby, staying in control from start to finish to beat Turk Telekom Ankara 93–84 on the road.

With a strong Besiktas fan presence at Ankara Sports Hall on Wednesday night and both teams starting with the same record in Group B, the visitors leaned on their depth and timely three-point shooting. Contributions came from all over the roster as Besiktas powered its way to 6–2.

Devon Dotson led the charge with 20 points, knocking down big shots to keep Besiktas in command throughout.

‘‘This game felt like an ultimate home game,’’ Dotson said at the end. ‘‘We knew what we needed to do, and my teammates helped me out, and they brought the energy from day one. We got the win, I’m very proud.’’

Besiktas leaned on its most potent weapon, its sharp shooting from beyond the arc, to power the win. Every time Turk Telekom tried to swing momentum their way, timely threes broke the resistance.

On the defensive end, Besiktas forced 14 turnovers, further disrupting  Turk Telekom's rhythm. The deep roster delivered across the board, with every player hitting the scoreboard. Dotson led the charge in the third quarter, and Jonah Matthews added 18 points, including key threes in the fourth, to seal the victory. Another critical contributor was Brynton Lemar, who hit crucial threes and added 15 points, while Ismael Kamagate dominated the paint on both ends.

Coach Dusan Alimpijevic praised the team’s approach and the fans’ impact: ‘‘They risked with these three-point shots, they let us shoot. So, we took our opportunity. I have to say that I am incredibly proud of my fans to create this atmosphere, I had a feeling like I played at home. This is amazing what the Besiktas club is doing. This is something very special for me.’’

Turk Telekom couldn’t keep up with Besiktas from beyond the arc. The visitors knocked down 45.2% of their threes, while the Ankara side hit just 4-of-22, struggling to create alternative scoring opportunities. Turk Telekom ended up allowing its highest point total in the last five games.

‘‘This game is one of the worst defensive efforts that we've had since the beginning of the season,’’ Coach Erdem Can said after the game.

‘‘We've played bad games, but this kind of defensive effort against this level of team, it's not possible to win the game. We couldn’t contain one-on-one. Also, offensively we lost our pace, so we need to get our lesson from this game... We have many other tough games. We need to prepare ourselves.’’

In Round 9, Besiktas will take on Panionios Cosmorama Travel Athens, while Turk Telekom heads to Germany for a road clash against NINERS Chemnitz.

Turk Telekom struggled to find solutions defensively against Besiktas’s offensive rhythm, seeing its five-game winning streak come to an end and dropping to 5-3.

Devon Dotson led Besiktas with 20 points and 4 assists, followed by Jonah Matthews with 18 points and 4 rebounds. A low-scoring first quarter saw the visitors take a lead which they maintained for the majority of the game, with Jamel Morris scoring 16 of his team’s 24 points in the fourth to finish it off. Having suffered its seventh straight loss, Panionios dropped to 1-7. Meanwhile, Lietkabelis celebrated its first road victory, improving its record to 2-6.

Morris paced his team with 16 points and Kristian Kullamae netted 14, with Augustine Rubit pairing his 12 points with 8 rebounds. Panionios guard Stedmon Lemon led all scorers with 20 points and Matt Lewis bagged 16 in a losing effort.

Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana pulled into a three-way tie for first place in Group A with a comfortable 93-73 home victory over Veolia Towers Hamburg with the visitors still looking for their first win of the season. Cedevita went on a 12-1 run to take a 41-24 lead in the second quarter. Hamburg only managed to get within 10 points the rest of the way and it was no closer than 12 points in the second half. 

Cedevita won its third straight game for a 6-2 mark, pulling even with Hapoel Midtown Jerusalem and Bahcesehir College Istanbul. DJ Stewart poured in 17 points and 4 assists for the winners and Thomas Kennedy had 14 points and 10 rebounds. New signing Devon Daniels paced Hamburg with 19 points and 5 assists but the German side dropped to 0-8.

The game went back and forth at the restart, with both teams refusing to give up. The hosts earned multiple leads in the third period, but failed to open up a substantial margin. Coach Tautvydas Sabonis’s charges kept chase until the very end, but it wasn’t to be. The visitors put on a professional display in the final moments and secured the 4-point victory.

Darius McGhee led the winners with 14 points and 6 assists. Both Gach scored 10 points of his own, while center Kevin Kokila combined 10 points with 6 boards. London lost despite Joel Scott’s strong performance; the forward added 7 rebounds and 4 assists to his 23 points. The result pushes table-topping Bourg to 7-1 for the EuroCup season. Meanwhile, the Lions slide to 3-5, drawing them level with NINERS Chemnitz on the brink of a qualification spot.

Jerusalem fended off a fierce second-half onslaught from Cluj to come out on top 89-101 and improve to 6-2, while the Romanian outfit dropped to 4-4 after wiping out a 19-point deficit only to fall short in a frantic climax.

Hapoel made a flying start and steamrolled into a 21-38 lead in the opening period, breaking the club record for points scored in a single quarter. The visitors shot 6-of-7 from downtown to silence the home crowd. Cluj regained some composure in the second, but Hapoel kept up the pressure and carved out a 43-58 advantage at halftime. In a rip-roaring third quarter, Cluj fired on all cylinders and turned the game on its head to take a 75-71 lead as Daron Russel hit top gear. Hapoel nosed in front 75-76 ahead of the final 10 minutes and the lead then changed hands several times in a see-saw fourth quarter before the Israeli side found an extra gear in the home straight.

Anthony Lamb paced Hapoel on 17 points, while Jared Harper and Cassius Winston chipped in with 16 apiece and Austin Wiley racked up 10 points to go with 11 boards for the visiting team. Mitch Creek led Cluj on a game-high 26 points, Saulius Kulvietis added 18 and Russel 15.

Aris got back to winning ways by beating Neptunas 87-93 at Svyturio Arena on Tuesday evening. The hosts went 4-for-4 from deep to open the game and took a 28-21 lead into the second quarter, where they were outscored 18-29 by Aris, which secured a 46-50 cushion at halftime.

The Greek side held Neptunas to just 3 points in the first 7 minutes of the third quarter and went on a 0-16 surge to open a 49-66 lead. A late 9-0 run by Neptunas brought them within 87-90 with just a minute left on the clock, but Elijah Mitrou-Long drilled a clutch step-back triple to finish the game off. Aris improved its record to 4-4, with Neptunas dropping to 3-5.

Amine Noua paced Aris with 24, while Mitrou-Long and Bryce Jones netted 17 each. Rihards Lomazs led all scorers with a season-high 26 points, Arnas Velicka scored 13 and Harrison Cleary added 12.

After nine lead changes in the first 10 minutes, Buducnost surged ahead by 12 points midway through the second quarter. The hosts used the long ball for a 26-5 run to start the second half for a 30-point lead. 

Buducnost, which improved to 6-2, was paced by Rasheed Sulaimon’s 19 points while Oleksandr Kovliar chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. Tobias Jensen collected 15 points and a career-high 11 assists in the loss. The defeat drops Ulm to 4-4 with three losses in the last four games.

Slask Wroclaw claimed a stunning 99-91 home win over Group A leader Bahcesehir College Istanbul at Hala Orbita on Tuesday to improve to 4-4. After a close first half, Slask took its first lead in the third quarter and, backed by effective three-point shooting and solid work on the boards, pulled away in the fourth to secure the victory.

Stefan Dordevic led Slask with 20 points and 4 rebounds and Noah Kirkwood added 21 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists. Kadre Gray contributed 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists, and Ajdin Penava tallied 13 points for the winners. Caleb Homesley paced Bahcesehir with 20 points, followed by Malachi Flynn with 13 points, Trevion Williams added 12 points and 6 rebounds and Mateusz Ponitka scored 11.

NINERS Chemnitz scored a 105-94 road win at Dolomiti Energia Trento at the BTS Arena on Tuesday night. Both teams made a slow start in the first quarter, with Trento finishing on top by a point. Chemnitz pulled away in the second period however, led by Kevin Yebo and Corey Davis. As the teams split for halftime, Massimo Cancellieri’s team was up by 16.

NINERS widened the gap to 22 soon after the restart, but the home crowd saw its team fight back. Devante Jones and Andrej Jakimovski sank huge buckets to pull the hosts back into the contest, but it wasn’t enough. When all was said and done, Rodrigo Pastore’s team had earned the 11-point victory.

Kevin Yebo led the game in scoring with 33, while also picking up 8 boards and 3 assists. Spreading the offensive load effectively, five other Chemnitz players finished on double digit scoring. Jakimovski  scored a career-high 30 points in defeat. The result moves both teams to 3-5 on the season.

We will certainly need strong defensive transition, solid open-court situations, and individual responsibility in one-on-one situations, and we will also all need to be very attentive on rebounds.”

Kevin Yebo and NINERS Chemnitz earned a road win for the first time in the club’s EuroCup tenure, defeating Dolomiti Energia Trento, 105-94, at BTS Arena in Round 8 of the 2025-26 BKT EuroCup.

Kevin Yebo takes over as NINERS win in Trento

“This is our first away game win in EuroCup history, so it’s really important for our fans, as well as for our whole organization,” said Kevin Yebo after his NINERS Chemnitz team defeated Dolomiti Energia Trento, 105-94.

Yebo and his teammates had indeed made history for the NINERS, who earned a road win for the first time in the club’s short EuroCup tenure, at BTS Arena on Tuesday night.

Trento made the brighter start, edging ahead in the opening period, but Chemnitz pulled away in the second quarter, led by Yebo and Corey Davis. As the teams went into halftime, the visitors were up by 16.

NINERS widened the gap to 22 soon after the restart, but the home crowd saw their team fight back. Devante Jones and Andrej Jakimovski sank huge buckets to pull the hosts back into the contest, but it wasn’t to be. When all was said and done, Rodrigo Pastore’s men had secured the 11-point victory. The winning coach said that he believes there is still room to improve, however.

“It was a very good game for a while, but there was a moment when our one-on-one defense wasn’t there, they were getting to the paint, getting rebounds, getting kick-out open threes,” Pastore stated. “We have to improve, but I’m very happy that many guys used their opportunity today.”

Somebody who certainly made the most of his opportunity was Yebo. The German forward led the game in scoring with 33 points, to which he added 8 boards and 3 assists, shooting 56% from the field.

“It’s nothing new to us, it’s Kevin Yebo,” said Pastore.

Yebo himself attributed his success to the travelling Chemnitz faithful: “I had a lot of fun with these guys today. It was fun. They’re doing it every time back home, we have the best fans in Germany and I’m glad that they came here.”

Yebo wasn’t alone in getting the job done. The road team spread the offensive load effectively, with 5 other Chemnitz players finishing on double digit scoring. The result was tough on Trento’s Andrej Jakimovski, who combined 30 points with 8 rebounds in the loss.

Both teams now sit on 3-5 records. NINERS will attempt to carry this momentum to December 4, when it faces Turk Telekom Ankara. Trento will need to regroup ahead of a meeting with ratiopharm ulm in a fortnight.

Noah Kirkwood was at the heart of Slask’s second-half surge, stepping forward and giving his team exactly the spark it needed. The Canadian guard took over offensively, knocking down big shots from beyond the arc as he hit 5-of-7 from three, and added 6 assists and 4 rebounds while pouring in 21 points to finish as the home side’s top scorer and a steady force throughout the night.

‘‘I’m really happy with how we played,’’ said Kirkwood, ‘‘We didn't let any of these circumstances about how big a club they are, they're winning record atop the EuroCup… We just wanted to play our basketball and today we hit some shots and gave energy and got the win.’’

The first half was tight as Bahcesehir forced Slask into turnovers, but the home side, starting 10 points behind, leaned on Kadre Gray and Stefan Dordevic to stay in the game. Gray poured in 13 points in the opening 20 minutes while Dordevic dominated inside with 12, keeping Slask within reach heading into halftime.

‘‘We actually didn’t start so good, there were some bad decisions.’’ said Coach Ainars Bagatskis, ‘‘We lost the ball a few times and they got that 10-point advantage. But after that, we started to play without hesitation.’’

The second half saw a more aggressive Slask Wroclaw step out of the locker room on both ends of the floor, capitalizing on Bahcesehir’s defensive lapses. The home side grabbed 13 offensive rebounds, turning those extra opportunities into a decisive edge that helped swing the game their way.

Reflecting on that shift, Coach Ainars said, ‘‘I’m just gonna repeat what I said to my team before the game. If you wanna survive, if you wanna be successful in this game, we have to play not with aggressiveness, not with physicality. But with a double aggressiveness, double physicality.’’

Slask continued its strong home form, scoring at least 92 points once again and keeping its offense rolling. Great shooting from beyond the arc broke down Bahcesehir’s resistance and gave the home side the edge it needed to secure the win.

Bahcesehir suffered its first road loss of the season, struggling from beyond the arc with just 5-of-28 three-point shooting. Despite leading the competition with 13.9 offensive rebounds per game, the team fell short on the boards against the home side, grabbing only 10. Caleb Homesley led the visitors with 20 points, followed by Malachi Flynn with 13, but it wasn’t enough to challenge Slask’s control.

Reflecting the loss, Coach Marko Barac said, ‘‘They were very successful one-on-one all game long, we couldn’t stay in front of the people that gave them confidence to shoot and to make some tough shots, because also they won the battle of rebounds. Everything that I was asking before the game, we couldn’t do it. Now it is up to me to analyze why did this happen.’’

Buducnost VOLI Podgorica allowed only 7 points in the third quarter and coasted to a 101-71 victory over ratiopharm Ulm to secure its fifth straight win 

Aggressive third-quarter defense helped Buducnost beat Ulm, extend winning streak

Those wondering how Buducnost VOLI Podgorica beat ratiopharm ulm in Round 8 at home really only need to look at the dominant third quarter. The other clear factor was a strong balanced attack to keep both teams’ rolls going.

Buducnost allowed only 7 points in the third quarter and coasted to a 101-71 victory over Ulm to secure its fifth straight win and a 6-2 record in the upper echelons of Group B. Ulm crashed to another big loss - its third in the last four games for a 4-4 mark - and is left looking for answers.

“Congrats to the guys. We wanted to continue our winning streak in the EuroCup and this is now the fifth one in a row. This is not easy to achieve, but we are playing well at the beginning of the season. We played a good game and deserve to win,” said Buducnost coach Andrej Zakelj.

The Montenegro team had five players score in double figures - topped by Rasheed Sulaimon’s 19 points - 16 of them coming in the first half. Oleksandr Kovliar added 13 points and 4 assists and Nikola Tanaskovic, Yogi Ferrell and Skylar Mays all had 11 points.

“We wanted to come out aggressive. It was a true balanced team win. I am super proud of our guys. We wanted to make sure that we play aggressive and play together and make smart players. And we’re excited about the outcome,” said Mays, who also chipped in 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.

After nine lead changes in the first 10 minutes, Buducnost surged ahead by 12 points by midway through the second quarter and was up 53-44 at the break.

The hosts used the long ball for a 26-5 run to start the second half for a 30-point lead late in the third quarter, and that decided the game. Ulm fought back a bit in the final frame, trimming the margin to 20 points, but Zakelj was never nervous.

"In the first half, we were not tough enough and gave them some easy shots. In the third quarter, we started to play better defense and more aggressive. We secured the win in the third quarter,” said the coach.

Zakelj’s team dished out 21 assists; out-rebounded Ulm 39-24; and buried 14 of 24 three-pointers (58.3%). Buducnost turned 11 offensive rebounds into 18 second-chance points and created 24 points off Ulm’s 14 turnovers.

Ulm coach Ty Harrelson was happy with the competitive nature of his young team, but once again, he saw a nightmare third quarter.

“It was a tough third quarter and we couldn’t find a way to score. We were dominated on the rebounds the entire game. We still have a lot of work to do. I actually think we played a pretty good first half, but we still found ourselves down by 9. We’re going to have to find solutions to score when we are in regular action, not after timeouts,” said the coach, whose team only had 5 points in the third quarter of the 32-point blowout home loss in Round 7 to Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse.

One of the few bright spots for Ulm was 21-year-old guard Tobias Jensen, who had 15 points and a career high 11 assists while committing only 1 turnover in 30 minutes.

“I think Tobias Jensen really played a fantastic game. We really needed him on the court for 40 minutes. I don’t know if that’s realistic though,” Harrelson said. “In a game we lose by 30, he was only -7 in plus-minus. When he was in there, we were competitive, but when he wasn’t, we were not.”

The Israeli team, which improved to 6-2 to move atop the Group A standings, looked set for plain sailing after shooting the lights out in the opening 10 minutes to carve out a whopping 21-38 advantage, sinking 6-of-7 from downtown as the points rained in from all angles. Cluj looked completely at sea and appeared bound for a drubbing as Jerusalem – which shattered the previous record of 34 points in a single quarter the club had accomplished on three separate occasions – continued to dominate in the second quarter.

The tide turned in the third as Cluj started to fire on all cylinders and produced a 32-13 run to take a 75-71 lead in the closing stages of the period, with Jerusalem’s livewire guard Jared Harper limping off with a cramp while the home crowd raised the decibel level through the roof.

The rollercoaster continued until the last few minutes of the game, when Jerusalem took the lead for good, 88-89, and steamrolled home thanks to flawless teamwork that saw six visiting players finish in double figures. The Israeli team was paced by the versatile Anthony Lamb, who amassed 17 points, 7 boards and 4 assists while Harper netted 16 points before he was forced to leave the game. 

Lamb was delighted with the outcome as well as with the prospect of Jerusalem finally being able to play its home games back in the Israeli capital, having heaped praise on the club’s diehard fans.

“It’s good to get another win and carry on with the streak,” Lamb said in his post-game comments. We started really strong and scored a lot of points in the first quarter, but then they came on a run and attacked us the whole game from that point. We took the lead back and stayed strong in the fourth quarter.

“We are also grateful for the opportunity to get the (home) games back in Israel and we’re super excited for our fans. It’s what they deserve for showing us some much love, coming to all these away games. I am excited and ready for it."

After the game, Harper dispelled fears he would be sidelined for long. Standing on his feet and with a broad smile on his face, he said: “Thank you for your thoughts and concerns. I will be okay. I suffered an injury, but I’ll be back on the court soon. The team showed up and had a great win on the road.”

Cluj put up a great fight to get back into the game and looked capable of staging what would have amounted to an impressive comeback, but the hosts ran out of steam in the home straight and Jerusalem duly took advantage. Head coach Mihai Sivasan could only offer a wry smile as he conceded that a poor start ultimately cost his team, which used up all the gas in a valiant catch-up effort. 

“It’s the third home game we’ve lost in the EuroCup, but it is what it is and we move forward,” he said. "It was the last game before the break in the competition. I am proud of how my guys fought in the second half, but unfortunately, we couldn’t finish the job. They were a little stronger in the last quarter and we couldn’t finish the comeback. We didn’t have the best night as we started slow and the first quarter was a mess as we were soft defensively.”

Amine Noua pulled off an extraordinary outing to lead Aris Thessaloniki Betsson to an 87-93 road win at Neptunas Klaipeda in Round 8 of the 2025-26 BKT EuroCup

Amine Noua sets the tone as Aris flips the switch with win at Neptunas

It’s been less than two weeks since the day that Aris Thessaloniki Betsson announced the arrival of former EuroLeague player Amine Noua. A slow start to the season was followed by the dismissal of head coach Bogdan Karaicic, who was replaced by Igor Milicic. Reinforcements were on their way too, with Noua being the first midseason signing in Aris’s bid to beef up its roster.

The Frenchman scored 9 points on his debut against Bahcesehir College Istanbul last week, with Aris showing signs of improvement despite losing 76-86 to one of the BKT EuroCup's title contenders. What followed on Tuesday evening has definitely put a huge smile on fans’ faces, as Noua pulled off an extraordinary outing to lead Aris to an 87-93 road win at Neptunas Klaipeda.

The 28-year-old forward ended the game on 24 points, having gone 5-for-8 from inside the arc, 3-for-5 from deep and 5-for-7 from the free-throw line. He also picked up 8 rebounds, 3 of which came on the offensive end. More importantly, he delivered both in his natural power-forward position, as well as at center in a small-ball formation when Aris tried to contain Neptunas’s 5-out offense.

“I feel so great right now,” Noua said after the game. “Really proud of my team tonight. We gave everything. It’s not very easy to win here at Neptunas, but we played together for 40 minutes. There were many ups and downs, but in the end we fought and we got a great win. We came from a long trip. There was lots of tiredness. But we stuck together and mentally we were there.”

Aris didn’t start the game as it may have hoped. Neptunas fired on all cylinders from beyond the rainbow and took a 28-21 lead after 10 minutes. Yet, the Greek side tightened up its defense, protected the boards and dictated the tempo to outscore the hosts 18-29 in the second quarter.

“We secured the rebounds in the second quarter, where Neptunas didn’t have a single offensive rebound,” Milicic said after the game. “We defended a little bit better in these drive-and-kick situations. We didn’t give them so many open threes. When we caught momentum, it was different. Then, we played too fast for them and we scored, as our moves from defense to offensive transition were solid. That’s why we were up at halftime.”

With Noua scoring 16 points in the first half and Elijah Mitrou-Long netting 11, Aris secured a 46-50 cushion after 20 minutes. But the Frenchman was anything but satisfied at halftime.

“We have to change the pace,” he noted. “They make so many easy baskets, easy layups, easy three-pointers. We have to make stops first and then play our game. Be intense, play with energy and keep going.”

And that’s precisely what Aris did after the break. The visitors held one of the finest offenses in the EuroCup to just 3 points in the first 7 minutes of the third quarter and went on a 0-16 spurt to open a 49-66 lead.

Neptunas responded with a 12-2 run, but Aris maintained a 64-73 advantage heading into the closing quarter. Then, Bryce Jones took over with back-to-back midrange jumpers to make it 78-90. The hosts didn’t give up and drained 3 straight triples that brought them within 87-90, making it a one-possession game with just a minute remaining.

Enter Mitrou-Long, who netted a step-back three to practically put the game to bed, allowing Aris to improve its record to 4-4.

Mitrou-Long and Jones bagged 17 points each, with the latter also recording 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals in a complete display. The two Aris guards were the players who clinched the road victory in the fourth quarter, but in Noua Aris may have well found the man who has flipped the switch for the Greek side.

With experienced guard Danilo Andjusic also joining to give Aris a midseason lift, the Greek side will look to bounce back from adversity. And the win at Neptunas may have just been the turning point for their season.

Sharpshooter Danilo Andjusic joins Aris

[Aris Thessaloniki Betsson](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/teams/aris-thessaloniki-betsson/ari/) has strengthened its backcourt with the addition of veteran sharpshooter [Danilo Andjusic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/danilo-andjusic/000956/), who signed a deal for the remainder of the season. Andjusic (1.96 meters, 34 years old) arrives from Dubai Basketball, where he saw limited action this season. He appeared in one EuroLeague game and one ABA League game for Dubai this season. Last season, Andjusic averaged 11.0 points per game in the ABA League while connecting on 36.4% of his three-point attempts.

He brings a wealth of experience to Aris, including parts of seven seasons in the EuroLeague. Andjusic played four of those campaigns with Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade. After starting his professional career with Hemofarm Vrsac, Andjusic has showcased his scoring ability across Europe.

His résumé includes stints with Virtus Bologna in Italy, Valladolid and Bilbao Basket in Spain, Anwil Wloclawek in Poland, Parma Perm and UNICS Kazan in Russia, Igokea Aleksandrovac in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and French clubs JL Bourg en Bresse and AS Monaco. Andjusic last played in the EuroCup for Bourg during the 2020-21 season.

Andjusic captured the Serbian League and Cup double and the 2023 ABA crown with Partizan in 2012 and lifted the Bosnian Cup with Igokea in 2019. He has also played for the Serbian national team at the junior and senior levels. With his proven shooting touch and leadership, Andjusic can be expected to play a key role for Aris as the team looks to make a run under Coach Igor Milicic.
