Turk Telekom won its third consecutive game, finishing the regular season with an 8-8 record and will play Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana in the eightfinals, while Hamburg ended the group phase in seventh place at 6-10 and will travel to face Valencia Basket in the eighthfinals. Alex Perez paced the winners with 17 points and 7 assists and Aubrey Dawkins also scored 17. Jaylon Brown led Hamburg with 21 points.

Turk Telekom won its third consecutive game to finish the regular season with an 8-8 record and will play Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana in the eighthfinals. Hamburg placed seventh with a 6-10 record and will travel to face Valencia Basket in the eighthfinals. Turk Telekom took control of the game in the second quarter and then blew it open in the third when it built a 22-point margin and cruised the rest of the way. Alex Perez paced the winners with 17 points and 7 assists. Aubrey Dawkins also scored 17, Can Ogut netted 14, JaJuan Johnson had 12 points and Anthony Clemmons scored 11 in the winning effort. Jaylon Brown led Hamburg with 21 points, Trevon Bluiett added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Maik Kotsar collected 12 points and 15 rebounds.

The teams traded blows at the start. Brown and Dawkins each hit a triple in the opening minutes and Johnson made a baseline jumper to open a 9-5 lead. Hamburg had an answer with a pair of triples from Bluiett that put the visitors up 13-15. Perez made back-to-back long jumpers to restore Turk Telekom's lead before Brown sparked a 0-6 run to make it 17-21. But in the remaining time in the first quarter, Ogut sank a pair of triples, including one in the last second to give Turk Telekom a 25-23 edge after 10 minutes.

 

Hamburg made 5 free throws to open the second quarter, but the visitors did not score a single field goal in the opening 4 minutes of the quarter, while Dawkins scored 5 points, including a corner triple. Another three from Ogut made it 35-28. Robin Christen answered with a three for Hamburg, but Clemmons and Perez extended the margin to 39-31. After Brown added to his tally with a triple, Clemmons made a corner three-pointer to spark a 6-0 run that made it 45-34. Jordan Walker knocked down a three-pointer for Hamburg and Seth Hinrichs hit a tough jumper. Back-to-back dunks from Johnson and Samit Geyik kept the margin at 10 points before Bluiett's three-pointer made it 49-42 at halftime.

Turk Telekom scored the first 6 points in the third with Johnson, Dawkins and Clemmons doing the damage and opening a 13-point margin. Brown made a jumper and a triple that helped cut it to 57-49. Brown also committed his fourth personal foul and the hosts quickly restored a double-digit lead with fastbreak baskets from Johnson and Perez. A three-pointer from Dorukhan Engindeniz and a three-point play from Perez made it 67-51. The hosts did not stop there, as Berk Demir had had a three-point play and Ogut finished the quarter with a triple to open a 77-55 advantage.

 

Things slowed down in the fourth quarter. Lukas Meisner made a triple for Hamburg, but Octavius Allis had a three-point play for the hosts, 82-58. Walker also sank a three for Hamburg only to see Johnson and Dawkins keep the margin intact as Turk Telekom closed out the game.

Slask fell to 3-13 and will face Gran Canaria in the eighthfinals.

Dziewa opened the scoring when he put back his own miss and then Jakub Karolak and Trice buried threes as the hosts surged ahead 10-0. Jelinek got Andorra going with a triple and a layup and Mario Nakic’s three-pointer made it 12-8. Big men Dziewa and Kanter gave Slask some breathing room and Trice’s layup extended the margin to 9. Arteaga scored twice to get the visitors going and Morgan and Miller-McIntyre made threes in a 0-9 run to finish the quarter that gave Andorra a 20-21 advantage.

 

Tomczak’s layup ended the Slask drought as the teams settled into a stretch where they traded shots – and leads. It was tied at 28-28 after Michal Gabinski’s put-back. Consecutive triples by Oriol Pauli and Jelinek prompted a quick Slask timeout. Pauli twice missed what would have been spectacular throwdowns as Slask trimmed the deficit to 32-35. However, Llovet stepped into the spotlight with a baseline slam and a bank shot and Miller-McIntyre added his second three of the game to give Andorra a double-digit lead, 34-46. A deep three by Justice and a last-second layup by Kolenda made it 39-46 at the break.

Llovet and Kanter traded threes to open the second half. Dziewa’s triple from the top of the key brought Slask within 48-54. However, the Slask attack hit a road bump and Andorra surged to a 12-point lead on Morgan’s third triple. Morgan remained hot with a put-back and a three-pointer as an answer to all Slask points. Despite a pretty play in the paint from Kanter, Andorra continued to cruise. Miller-McIntyre scored twice to extend the margin to 55-71. Justice connected from deep and Szymon’s layup made it 62-73 through three quarters.

 

Slask began the fourth quarter with a dunk by Dziewa and a triple by Trice gave the Slask faithful hope at 69-76. Kolenda made it a 5-point game before Morgan buried a triple. However, Slask continued to fight and baskets by Dziewa and Kanter made it 79-83 with 4 and a half minutes remaining. Trice made it a 3-point game though Clevin Hannah matched him with his first basket of the night. Kolenda tied the game at 88-88 with a three with 2:25 on the clock. Again Hannah responded, but this time Trice came back with a three-point play for a 91-90 lead. The lead changed hands again on Hannah’s floater before Kanter missed twice from the line. Both teams missed a few times in a frantic final minute, including Kanter with a last-second jumper that would have tied it. Olumyiwa iced the game with free throws.

Cedevita grabbed its eighth consecutive victory to finish the regular season with an 11-7 record. Promitheas bowed out of the EuroCup with a 4-14 record and 10th place in the group. Jacob Pullen led the winners with 19 points, Marko Radovanovic scored 15, Yogi Ferrell 14 and Zach Auguste 13. Dimitris Agravanis paced Promitheas with 16 points, Jerai Grant added 15 and Athanasios Bazinas and Georgios Tanoulis each had 11 for the hosts. Pullen and Ferrell combined for 18 first-quarter points as Cedevita stormed to a 15-29 lead after 10 minutes and the outcome was never in question after that. 

Ferrell got Cedevita going with a three-pointer. Agravanis answered from downtown for the hosts. Alen Omic and Bazinas traded layups before Ferrell scored in penetration for a 5-7 Cedevita lead. Pullen bettered Grant's dunk with a three-pointer and Ferrell followed a driving layup with a triple that boosted the lead to 9-14. Grant swished a six-meter jumper, but Zoran Dragic and Pullen each struck from beyond the arc, prompting Promitheas to call timeout at 11-20. After Mihajlo Andric and Omic exchanged jump hooks, Pullen took over with a three-point play and Auguste erased Grant's layup with a dunk. Dragic's buzzer-beating reverse layup fixed the score at 15-29 after 10 minutes. 

 

Pullen insisted from beyond the arc to break the game open, 15-32, early in the second quarter. Agravanis banked in a running hook that Auguste bettered with back-to-back dunks. Radovanovic scored around the basket, but Grant and Abdul Gaddy brought Promitheas a bit closer, 23-39. Auguste stepped up with a layup that Grant erased with a quick basket in transition. Bazinas took over with a driving layup and a put-back basket. Melvin Ejim found his first points and Dan Duscak added a three-pointer that kept Cedevita out of trouble, 29-46. Gaddy scored again to get the hosts within 31-48 at halftime. 

Ferrell kept pushing Cedevita with a driving layup. Omic scored around the basket and Pullen added a three-pointer, after which Promitheas called timeout at 31-55. Bazinas answered from downtown and Edo Muric followed a driving layup with a shot from downtown. Angelios Lagios scored in penetration to make it 36-60. Pullen and Muric each swished a step-back jumper, but Agravanis singlehandedly brought his team within 42-64. Grant dunked again and Lagios matched Dragic's baseline jumper with a coast-to-coast layup. Bazinas scored off a steal and Tanoulis made a jumper to give Promitheas hope, 51-66, after 30 minutes. 

 

Tanoulis provided a highlight with an alley-oop layup early in the fourth quarter. Radovanovic answered with a three-point play and Pullen buried a triple in transition that sealed the outcome, 53-72, with less than 8 minutes left. Tanoulis scored in the paint, Radovanovic buried one from beyond the arc and Auguste dunked for a 56-77 Cedevita margin. Agravanis dunked off a steal and soon added a coast-to-coast layup to bring Promitheas within 64-80. Radovanovic stepped up with a fastbreak layup and by the time he added free throws, everything was said and done.

Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana clinched third place in Group B by downing Promitheas Patras 67-88 on the road on Wednesday.
