Prometey Slobozhanske strengthened its backcourt by inking guard Denys Lukashov, the club announced Friday. Lukashov (1.97 meters, 33 years old) arrives from SLUC Nancy Basket, where he averaged 1.5 points in 2 games. He started the 2021-22 season with Prometey, averaging 7.2 points on 44.6% three-point shooting and 3.0 assists in 25 Ukrainian League games before joining Nancy. Lukashov started his professional career in his native Ukraine, playing for Kyiv, Budivelnik Kyiv, Donetsk and Azovmash Mariupol. He has also played for Avtodor Saratov and Enisey Krasnoyarsk of Russia, as well as for Vytautas Prienu and Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius of Lithuania before joining Prometey in 2019.

Lukashov is a two-time Ukranian League champion – with Budivelnik in 2011 and Prometey in 2021. He lifted the Ukrainian Cup trophy with Budivelnik in 2015 and claimed the Lithuanian Cup crown with Rytas in 2016. Lukashov has also been a member of the Ukrainian national team and brings in a lot of 7DAYS EuroCup experience. He helped Budivelnik reach the EuroCup Quarterfinals in 2011, losing against Cajasol Sevilla. In 31 EuroCup games with Budivelnik, Donetsk and Saratov, Lukashov amassed 168 points (5.4 ppg.) and 71 rebounds (2.3 rpg.).
