Promitheas Patras added depth and court vision to its backcourt by inking guard Vassilis Mouratos to a one-year deal, the club announced Friday. Mouratos (1.93 meters, 25 years old) arrives from GS Lavrio Aegean Cargo, where he averaged 11.3 points and 3.1 rebounds in 24 Greek League games this season, leading the competition in assists (6.3 apg.). He played for Lavrio in the last three season, helping his former team reach the Greek League final in 2021.

Mouratos started his career with Nea Kifisia Dimoulas Athens and has also played for Olympiacos Piraeus, AE Phychiko Athens, Gymnastikos Larissa Faros and Peristeri Athens before joining Lavrio in 2019. He has also been a member of the Greek national team. Mouratos helped Greece win respective gold medals at the 2015 U18 European Championships and the 2017 U20 European Championships, also getting a bronze medal at the 2013 U16 European Championships. He is set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut with Promitheas next season. He got to play in one Turkish Airlines EuroLeague game with Olympiacos in the 2015-16 campaign.
