Promitheas Patras added more size to its paint for the upcoming season with big man D.J. Funderburk who signed a one-year deal, the club announced Tuesday. Funderburk (2.07 meters, 25 year old) finished last season with a fellow 7DAYS EuroCup side Paris Basketball, where he averaged 4.0 points and 2.4 rebounds in 11 French League appearance. The first part of the season Funderburk played with Avtodor Saratov of Russia, where he posted 10.7 points and 2.6 rebounds in the VTB League. That was first professional season Funderburk's career, after he spent three years playing NCAA basketball with North Caroline State University. He is now set to make his EuroCup debut.
