Umana Reyer Venice has made its first addition to the team this summer, signing a contract with swingman Riccardo Moraschini, the club announced on Saturday. Moraschini (1.94 meters, 31 years old) has last played with AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan, team he joined in 2019. During his time there, he helped the team reach the 2021 EuroLeague Final Four, and win Italian Cup and Supercup in 2021. In Turkish Airlines EuroLeague action, Moraschini appeared in 40 games over three seasons, averaging 3.9 points on 38.5% three-point shooting along with 2.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists.
He now returns to 7DAYS EuroCup for the first time since the 2013-14 season, his only in the competition, when he played in 10 games with Virtus Roma. Moraschini has spent his entire career playing in his native Italy. He made his professional debut with Virtus Bologna in the 2007-08, and also suited up for Biella, Sant'Antimo, Virtus Rome, Mantova, Trento and Brindisi. An Italian national team member, he helped the team reach the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, and also won silver at the U20 European Championship in 2011.
