Umana Reyer Venice strengthened its backcourt by signing guard Rayjon Tucker for the coming season, the team announced on Sunday. Tucker (1.91 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Melbourne United in the Australian League, where he averaged 18.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists last season. That was Tucker's first time playing outside his native United States.
After playing college basketball at Florida Gulf Coast University and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Tucker spend three seasons in the NBA and the G-League. He suited up for the Utah Jazz, Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets and Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA and appeared in playoff games with Utah, Philadelphia and Milwaukee. Tucker also played for their G-League affiliates, the Wisconsin Herd, Salt Lake City Stars and Delaware Blue Coats.
