Umana Reyer Venice has added more size to its frontcourt by signing Yankuba Sima to its roster ahead of the next 7DAYS EuroCup season. Sima (2.11 meters, 25 years old) has played three of the last four seasons with Manresa Basquet of his native Spain. Last season, he averaged 7.4 points and 4.0 rebounds in 36 Spanish League games, of which he started 16. He played a combined total of 92 games in the Spanish League over his three seasons in Manresa, averaging 5.7 points and 2.9 rebounds.

Sima had previously played college basketball in the NCAA from 2015 to 2018 with St. John's and Oklahoma State. He also debuted with the Spanish national team last year. Previously, Sima had represented Canarias Basketball Academy in the 2013-14 ANGT qualifier in Belgrade, averaging 9.2 rebounds in 24 minutes per game. He has also played for Club Baloncesto Breogan and Club Ourense Baloncesto of Spain.
