Umana Reyer Venice announced on Friday that point guard Andrea De Nicolao has signed a new three-year contract with the club and been named the team captain for next season. De Nicolao (1.85, 31 years old) has spent the last four seasons in Venice, half of his eight total in the 7DAYS EuroCup to date. He has been a boost off the bench in most of his time with Reyer, helping the club reach the EuroCup Eighthfinals in each of the last two seasons.

All told, De Nicolao has played 101 games in the EuroCup, having debuted with Benetton having debuted as an 18-year-old with Benetton Treviso in 2009. De Nicolao has averaged 4.2 points and 2.3 rebounds over a little less than 18 minutes per game during his EuroCup career.
