After Umana Reyer Venice's 89-69 victory over ratiopharm Ulm, it was no surprise that the hosts' were pleased with how they played defense, especially because they felt that was where they needed to improve.
"We've been improving the past two or three weeks", big man Derek Willis explained. "Really focused in on our defense. I think this is where we were struggling the most."
Reyer has quite a high standard. This was already the fourth time they held opponents to fewer than 70 points, and Reyer ranks second in the competition, allowing just 74.3 points per game.
