Slack Wroclaw has announced the arrival of DJ Mitchell on a deal until the end of the 2022-23 season. Mitchell (2.03 meters, 25 years old) joins from the Brisbane Bullets of the National Basketball League, having averaged 9.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 27 games. With just five games to go in the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season, Slask will hope that EuroCup rookie Mitchell can help change the team's fortunes, as it currently sits bottom of Group B with a record of 1-12.

After playing for Wake Forest and Santa Clara in his college days, Mitchell made his professional debut in the 2021-22 season as he suited up for Basketball Academie Limburg in the Dutch-Belgian League. In June 2022, the forward moved to Australia after joining the Gold Coast Rollers of the Australian Second Division. Last summer, he signed for Brisbane of the NBL, the top division in Australia, but he will now finish the season with Slask in Poland.
