Even though Isaia Cordinier was a late addition to Virtus Segafredo Bologna’s roster, the do-it-all swingman became a key player for Coach Scariolo as they claimed the 7DAYS EuroCup crown.
A member of the 2020-21 All-EuroCup First Team with JSF Nanterre, Cordinier joined Virtus after presumed starting small forward Awudu Abass suffered a torn ACL in September that would sideline him for the season. Cordinier was uniform in the Italian League 10 days after signing and made an instant impact in the team’s EuroCup opener with 12 points on 3-of-4 three-point shooting. From that point on, the consistency that Cordinier brought was to be ready to fill any task on either side of the floor.
