Turk Telekom adds depth with Oncel

Turk Telekom Ankara added depth to its backcourt by inking playmaker Ridvan Oncel, the club announced Friday. Oncel (1.91 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Galatasaray Istanbul where last season he posted 2.9 points in the Turkish League action. Oncel returns to the 7DAYS EuroCup where he made seven appearances in the 2020-21 campaign in Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul uniform, averaging 3.4 points and 1.1 rebounds. Prior to that he spent eight year with Bandirma Kirmizi, club where he played in junior categories and later made his professional debut. Oncel has also been a member of the Turkish national team, and has helped its U18 squad get a silver medal at the 2015 European Championships.
