Turk Telekom Ankara bolstered its frontcourt by adding center Tyrique Jones, the club announced Saturday. Jones (2.06 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Carpegna Prosciutto Basket Pesaro, where he averaged 13.1 points on 65.8% two-point shooting in 33 Italian League last season, leading the competition in rebounds at 9.7 per night. He is set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut with Turk Telekom in the upcoming 2022-23 campaign.

Jones comes off his second season as a professional basketball player. Before that, Jones started the 2020-21 campaign with DB Promy of South Korea, moving to Hapoel Tel Aviv in November 2020. He averaged 13.1 points on 67.2% two-point shooting, 7.7 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 16 Israeli League games that season. Before that, he completed his four-year college career with Xavier University, averaging 13.9 points, 11.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 31 games in the 2019-20 season.
