Turk Telekom Ankara has strengthened its backcourt by inking point guard Tony Taylor, the club announced on Tuesday. Taylor (1.84 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir, where he averaged 11.8 points and 4.3 assists in 33 Turkish League games last season. He helped Karsiyaka reach the BCL Championship Game in 2021.

Taylor started his career with Tulsa of the D-League and soon joined Polish side PGE Turow Zgorzelec, which gave him the chance to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut in the 2013-14 season, averaging 10.5 points and 3.8 assists in 10 games. He has also played for Enisey Krasnoyarsk of Russia, Strasbourg of France, Banvit Bandirma of Turkey and Virtus Segafredo Bologna of Italy before joining Karsiyaka in 2019. He helped Virtus win the BCL title in 2019, and lifted the Polish League trophy with Turow in 2014. Taylor is set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut with Turk Telekom next season.
