Turk Telekom Ankara found a new coach in Nenad Canak, the club announced Monday, Canak, 47, arrives from 7Bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys, where he worked for the last five seasons. He replaces Erdem Cam, the 2022-23 EuroCup Coach of the Year, who parted ways with the club after helping Turk Telekom reach the EuroCup Finals and finish first in the Turkish League regular season.

A former player, Canak started his coaching career as an assistant with Serbian side Mega Basket from 2012 to 2016. He went on to become Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade's assistant coach and after a brief experience with Spartak Subotica, Canak returned to Partizan as head coach in the 2017-18 season, winning the Serbian Cup title. He went on to coach Lietkabelis and helped it reach the Lithuanian League finals in 2022. Last season, Canak guided Lietkabelis to the EuroCup Eightfinals for the second consecutive season. As a player, Canak helped Alfa Makedonikos reach the EuroCup championship game in 2005.
