ratiopharm Ulm is the German League champion! Ulm lifted its first-ever German League trophy by edging Telekom Baskets Bonn 74-70 in Game 4 of the best-of-five finals on Friday night. Yago dos Santos paced the winners with 25 points and 8 assists. Brandon Paul added 15 points while Bruno Caboclo had 11 and 6 rebounds for Ulm, which limited Bonn to just 6-of-32 shots from beyond the arc (18.8% 3FG). Ulm had lost in the finals in 2012 and 2016, but it was a case of third time's a charm for Coach Anton Gavel's squad, which had already eliminated Turkish Airlines EuroLeague powerhouses ALBA Berlin and FC Bayern Munich earlier in this year's German League playoffs.
