Walter De Raffaele, Reyer: 'Our attitude was great'

Umana Reyer Venice head coach Walter De Raffaele:
"Absolutely the best way to celebrate and restart. We knew that it was going to be a tough game but we played tough too. We know that EuroCup is tough, but the attitude was great for 40 minutes so congratulations to my players.
"It was a tough game, we were ahead throughout and we fought all evening, which is the most important thing. To go 2-0 against this team is very important. Honestly, I think we didn’t have a great day today as we allowed too many points, but this can happen and we responded. We got something from everybody.”
U-BT Cluj Napoca head coach Mihai Silvasan:
"We played really well in the second half but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough. We played against a really good team and if you give them a small advantage in the beginning, it’s hard to come back. But in the end, I am proud of the way we played and we won’t give up.
"Congrats to the home team from Venice for winning this game, I think it was a really nice game to watch with a lot of points. Unfortunately for us, we didn’t manage to complete the comeback and stay mentally tough after we took the lead."
Umana Reyer Venice forward Derek Willis:
"We had a rough past week so I think coming here and getting a good win at home was important. At this time of the year, everybody is trying to make the playoffs and stay in a good rhythm, so I am glad we came away with a win."
