ratiopharm Ulm grabbed its fourth win in the last five games in Group By topping Germani Brescia 72-85 at Palaleonessa A2a on Wednesday. Ulm improved to 7-5 in the standings while Brescia dropped to 5-7. Ulm also managed to gain the potential tiebreaker between them since Brescia had recorded a 90-98 road victory at Ratiopharm Arena in Round 3.
Yago leads Ulm to big road win, 72-85

Yago Dos Santos led the winners with 18 points and 10 assists for his second double-double this season. Brandon Paul added 15 points, Robin Christen had 13 while Karim Jallow and Bruno Caboclo each got 10 for Ulm. Tai Odiase led Brescia with 17 points. Amedeo Della Valle added 13 on 11-of-12 free throw shooting while Kenny Gabriel had 10 for the hosts
Odiase got Brescia going with back-to-back jump hooks and then Gabriel followed a jumper with a three-pointer, prompting Ulm to call timeout at 11-3. Dos Santos, Joshua Hawley and Jallow each struck from downtown to give Ulm its first lead, 14-15. Della Valle and David Cournooh fueled a 10-0 run that Odiase capped with an alley-oop slam for a 24-15 Brescia lead early in the second quarter. Della Valle and Gabriel soon allowed the hosts to make it a double-digit game, 36-24. Juan Nunez, Caboclio and Christen got Ulm within 39-36 at halftime.

Della Valle kept pushing Brescia after the break, restoring a 45-38 lead. Nunez, Jallow and Christen each buried a three-pointer and then Dos Santos led Ulm to regain a 52-53 lead. Dos Santos got help from Hawley to make it 52-58, but Tomasso Laquintana buried a midcourt prayer to fix the score at 55-58 after 30 minutes. Christen insisted from beyond the arc, Paul added back-to-back triples and Jallow also struck from downtown to give Ulm a double-digit lead, 60-71, with under 6 minutes left. Odiase brought Brescia within 67-74 in the next-to-last minute. Paul put Ulm's victory on ice with a three-pointer.
