Paris is the only newcomer in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague this season. It has reached the world's most competitive league in record time, following a record-breaking 2023-24 BKT EuroCup season. Led by T.J. Shorts and Nadir Hifi, Paris won the EuroCup with an all-time best 22-1 record, winning its last 15 games to lift the trophy. Shorts was chosen as the EuroCup season MVP and EuroCup Finals MVP after helping Paris sweep Cosea Bourg-en-Bresse. Founded in 2018 by David Kahn, the club started with one and only goal: bringing elite basketball to the city of light. It started in the French second division, as Paris bought the license of HTV Basket. The club was promoted to the French top flight at the end of the 2020-21 season. After avoiding relegation in the 2021-22 campaign, Paris was invited to play in the EuroCup for the first time. With Tyrone Wallace, Ismael Kamagate and Kyle Allman on the roster, Paris reached the quarterfinals, losing against eventual champ Gran Canaria. Paris took another step forward by signing head coach Tuomas Iisalo, who brought in six players that had won the BCL title with German side Telekom Baskets Bonn under his guidance. They kept winning together as in addition to the EuroCup title, Paris lifted the French Cup title and reached the French League finals. After putting the city of Paris back on the European basketball map, the club is ready to keep setting higher goals and look for new challenges.
