See one of the world’s most-passionate games from the inside thanks to the MindFly bodycams worn by the referees!
Go inside the Belgrade Derby with MindFly's referee cams
Just when you think you have seen it all on a basketball court, Euroleague Basketball and Mindfly bring you inside the Belgrade Derby! Referees Fernando Rocha, Carlos Peruga and Piotr Pastusiak donned shirts with the revolutionary MindFly AI ultralight-powered bodycam embedded inside to bring you the sights and sounds from one of the most passionate sporting events in the world.
Games between archrivals Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade and Partizan Mozzart Belgrade are always spectacles and when the encounter is a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague contest at Stark Arena, the intensity dials up a notch, as the recordings from the MindFly cameras show.
The footage not only brings viewers into the heart of the on-court action, but it shares how the referees interacted with the head coaches and players before the game, shows conversations between the referees during critical moments in the game and, of course, reactions from players to calls – and non-calls – during the game.
The shirts with the MindFly bodycam made the referees look like Iron Man, according to Crvena Zvezda guard Nemanja Nedovic. Superheroes they may not be, but you can appreciate the speed, power and grace of the game and the professionalism of the referees in this footage.
Euroleague Basketball and MindFly began their collaboration at last season’s Final Four in Kaunas, Lithuania, where fans could see some of the best moments of the EuroLeague's pinnacle event from never-before-seen viewpoints. The same technology has been used this season at some of the biggest games, including El Clásico between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, the French League Derby between AS Monaco and LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne. And the Italian one between Virtus Segafredo Bologna and EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, with more yet to come.
