Olympiacos Piraeus, last season's Turkish Airlines EuroLeague runner-up, hit the ground running this week with its first practice of training camp as it ramps up its preparations for the new campaign. Coach Georgios Bartzokas had a group that included familiar faces, plus some new arrivals, in order to prepare a new assault for the EuroLeague crown.
New arrivals on the first day included Luke Sikma, Georgios Tanoulis and Nigel Williams-Goss, while big man Nikola Milutinov was not present due to his national team duties with Serbia at the 2023 FIBA World Cup. Some other players missing due to their presence at the World Cup were Thomas Walkup, Michalis Lountzis, Giannoulis Lartentzakis and Kostas Papanikolaou, all of whom playing for Greece, while Moustapha Fall is also taking part with France.
