Former Barca hero Nikola Mirotic, who leads the league in PIR with 23.7 per game, will play a central role on his return to Palau Blaugrana, and the host will try to counter him with the scoring skills of Jabari Parker, who paired 18 points and 9 rebounds in the win at Maccabi. That game also saw a return to form by former Milan shooter Kevin Punter, netting 18 points on 4-of-6 three-point shooting, who faces a long-range duel with Milan veteran Fabien Causeur, who's averaged 7.7 points on 55.2% three-point shooting.

Zach LeDay: 'I still bleed green and white'
- Last season, Milan won in Barcelona 86-90 with Shavon Shields scoring 19 points while tying his career high with 5 triples made.
- In that Round 14 win, Milan guard Diego Flaccadori had career-highs in points (15) and PIR (16).
- In the 2021 Final Four semifinals, Barcelona edged Milan 84-82 on a Cory Higgins jumper with 0.8 seconds on the clock.
- Milan set a club record with 21 steals against FC Barcelona in December 2005.
- Milan forward Nikola Mirotic spent four seasons at Barcelona between 2019 and 2023 and helped the team reach three EuroLeague Final Fours.
- Mirotic and Barcelona center Willy Hernangomez were teammates at Real Madrid during the 2012-13 season. They reached the 2013 championship game together. The two were also teammates on the Spanish national team with which they won gold medals at EuroBasket 2015 and bronze medals at the 2016 Olympics.
- Barcelona's Alex Abrines also won a 2016 Olympic bronze medal alongside Mirotic and Hernangomez.

- Milan guard Neno Dimitrijevic played under current Barcelona head coach Joan Penarroya at Valencia Basket in the 2021-22 season.
- Milan playmaker Niccolo Mannion played under Coach Penarroya at Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz at the start of last season.
- Barcelona's Joel Parra and Dimirijevic were teammates at Joventut Badalona during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons.
- Barcelona big man Jan Vesely set a career-high with 8 assists while playing for Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul in a 92-100 road win against Milan in March 2021. He also collected 13 points and 10 rebounds on that night.
