Coach Franco, Hapoel: 'We want to keep on dreaming'

Hapoel Vegan Friendly Tel Aviv head coach Danny Franco:
"I want to thank Slask for their hospitality and the opportunity for a very nice visit to the city of Wroclaw. We came here to a game that was important to us in our effort to stay as close to the top of the group as possible. Slask played very well today but we tightened our defense in the second half. It helped us make a run and build a lead that we were able to protect and increase until the end. We are having a great second round [of the regular season] in the EuroCup, our results are great and we are very happy with that. We’ll keep on going as much as we can and keep on dreaming as long as we can."
Slask Wroclaw head coach Ertugrul Erdogan:
"Congratulations to Hapoel Tel Aviv, I think they have one of the best rosters in the EuroCup. We did a pretty good job, especially in the third quarter, but should really analyze the fourth quarter. In the first half, we shot 7 of 14 from three-point range and that was down to the shot selection, which means we played like a team and passed the ball. In the second half, 0 out of 10 and we ended up with 13 turnovers, which means that when you don’t play together you’re in trouble. We’re not a great team but when we play together we are a dangerous team. I cannot complain about the effort though, these guys fight. We should learn something from the defeat and accept that the Polish League is our reality right now."
Hapoel Vegan Friendly Tel Aviv guard Xavier Munford:
"It was a must-win for us heading into the playoffs. We came here focused tonight because Slask are a good team. It feels good to come away with a victory."
