Aris Midea Thessaloniki announced on Tuesday that promising guard Georgios Fillios will miss four months with a broken right foot. The 22-year-old has been diagnosed with a fractured fifth metatarsal, which will sideline him for four months. Aris will face Prometey Slobozhanske in the single-game EuroCup Eighthfinals on Wednesday, March 6.
A native of Thessaloniki, this is Fillios’s second season with Aris and his first in the EuroCup, He averaged 0.8 points, 1.1 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 0.7 steals in 8:39 minutes off the bench in nine games this season. His defense and hustle led to Fillios cracking the rotation and playing at least 11 minutes in five games between Rounds 6 and 11.
