

Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse clinched a place in the 2024 BKT EuroCup Quarterfinals by downing Turk Telekom Ankara 64-68 in the Turkish capital on Wednesday. Bourg improved to 14-3 and clinched first place in Group B later on Wednesday when U-BT Cluj-Napoca beat Dreamlife Gran Canaria. Turk Telekom dropped to 7-10.
Bodian Massa led the winners with 13 points. Isiaha Mike added 11 for Bourg, which had five other players with at least 6 points. Tyrone Wallace led Turk Telekom with 16 points. James Palmer added 13 while Brandon Brown had 11 for the hosts.
Zaccharie Risacher got Bourg going with a dunk and Mike added a close-range basket for a 0-4 lead. Wallace stepped up for Turk Telekom, getting help from Ismail Cem Ulusoy and Palmer to give the hosts their first lead, 11-10. Massa hit back-to-back jump hooks and Max Salash scored down low to help Bourg regain the lead and extend it to 11-18 after 10 minutes.
Bryce Brown provided a highlight with an acrobatic layup and Massa's three-point play capped a 0-13 Bourg run. Steven Enoch followed a baseline jumper with a layup before Wallace's driving basket got Turk Telekom within 17-27. Salash kept pushing Bourg, Jeremy Morgan found his first points and Mike's jumper gave his team a 19-34 advantage. Axel Julien found Risacher for an alley-oop dunk and added a three-pointer to keep Bourg comfortably ahead, 24-39, at halftime.
JeQuan Lewis scored off a steal right after the break and Kevin Kokila kept the visitors comfortably ahead, 26-43. Wallace tried to change things for Turk Telekom and Palmer struck from beyond the arc to make it 31-46. Wallace remained unstoppable and Jarrod Jones's layup brought the hosts within single digits, 37-46. Massa and Mike rescued Bourg and then Salash hit a triple for a 39-54 score. Wallace and Brandon Brown brought Turk Telekom closer, 46-57, after 30 minutes.
Ulusoy scored off a steal and Jones followed a layup with a three-pointer, prompting Bourg to call timeout at 53-59. Palmer took over with a reverse layup which Brandon Brown followed with a jumper to get Turk Telekom within striking distance, 58-61, with over 4 minutes left. Lewis hit a free throw and Massa added an alley-oop dunk, giving Bourg fresh air at 58-64. Brandon Brown hit a jumper and added free throws to make it 62-64. Jones tied the game with foul shots. After Morgan split attempts, Palmer missed a mid-range shot and Lewis was fouled at 64-65 with 18.3 seconds remaining. He made free throws, Wallace missed from downtown and Morgan sealed the deal from the foul line.
