Chemnitz re-signs fan-favorite Kevin Yebo

The BKT EuroCup debutant NINERS Chemnitz announced on Friday that big man Kevin Yebo has signed a new deal that will keep him at the club next season. Yebo (2.07 meters, 29 years old) finished last season with Chemnitz, where he averaged 14.2 points and 4.1 rebounds in 16 German League games.
The first part of last season, Yebo played with FC Bayern Munich, making his EuroLeague debut with 15 appearances, and positing 2.3 points and 1.5 rebounds.
Yebo first joined Chemnitz in the summer of 2022, and spent two seasons there. In the 2023-24 campaign, he starred with 15.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, helping the team reach the German League semifinals. He also posted 10.0 points and 5.1 rebounds, helping Chemnitz win the FIBA Europe Cup trophy. With 1,641 career points, Yebo is already in fifth place on Chemnitz's all-time top scorer list.
Yebo played in the youth system of SG Sechtem and then joined TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen. He also played for VfR Limburg, Team Ehingen Urspring, Hamburg Towers and Eisbaeren Bremerhaven.
